The Sun shines on Ayr this Saturday
Ayr Racecourse’s Scottish Sun Raceday this Saturday June 23 promises to be a great day out, with some quality racing and great entertainment.

It’s the first time an entire raceday has been sponsored by Scotland’s top selling daily newspaper, and Sun readers will be able to join in the fun by entering a competition to name the races on the day.
There is a total of £79,000 in prize money on the day, and the opening two races will be televised live on Channel 4.
First race at 2.25 pm is a one mile five furlongs handicap for four year olds and upwards, and £18,000 is on offer here, while the second heat is a Class 2 handicap over one mile one furlong with £25,000 being raced for.
Before racing there will be a mascot race featuring all the mascots representing Scotland’s SPL football teams.
