on impressive half year results in Ayrshire

Clydesdale Bank’s new regional deposits partner for Ayrshire aims to continue building on the bank’s impressive deposit performance, which is currently almost five times the industry average.

Deboragh Hendren is also eager to maintain a firm customer focus and an understanding of the communities in which she works, an ethos which is at the heart of the Clydesdale Bank’s business model.

Commenting on her new role, Deboragh Hendren said: “The fact that the half year results showed that our deposits had increased by 15 per cent to £20.1 billion shows ultimately that our customers trust us.

“Clydesdale Bank continues to play a key role in helping local businesses navigate today’s challenging economic climate. Ensuring locally deposited money stays within the local economy means we can reinvest these funds to help the growth plans of other businesses across Ayrshire.”

Deboragh brings 10 years of banking experience to the role, having started her career at HSBC before working for Citibank for 6 years as a branch manager. Most recently Deboragh has worked as a Private Partner for Clydesdale Bank, before moving to a Deposit Partner role within Clydesdale’s Glasgow Financials Solutions Centre.

She is responsible for working across Clydesdale Bank’s Financial Solutions Centres in Ayrshire, Carlisle, Stirling & Perth, Dunfermline, Inverness and Thainstone.

Willie Mackie, Managing Partner of Clydesdale’s Ayrshire Financials Solutions Centre said: “I am delighted to welcome Deboragh to our team. This latest appointment is a further example of our commitment to support local businesses across Ayrshire.”
