Statistics from the firm show that CKD Galbraith’s average rent in the area has remained steady at £641 per calendar month over the year and there has been a notable shift towards a demand for larger properties to let in the first quarter of 2012. The average time to let for CKD Galbraith’s Ayr office is over a week less than the Scottish average of 44 days, as reported by Citylets.

CKD Galbraith’s lettings manager in Ayr Joyce Smart (pictured above) said: “Our local statistics from Ayr reflect the national trend for the growing demand for privately rented homes.
“In Ayr we are seeing a significant demand for quality flats and houses from both young professionals and families.
“We have noticed a trend of landlords moving towards a managed service as legislation tightens in this sector of the market with the launch of the Tenancy Deposit Scheme this month.”
CKD Galbraith offers both the full lettings management service and a finders-fee service, dependant on landlords’ requirements, and work closely alongside othe firm’s residential sales department.
