Mafiz Ali announces second anniversary celebration evening at Ayr Spice Indian Restaurant in Minishant

Tuesday 9 October marks the second anniversary of celebrity TV chef Mafiz Ali taking the reins at Ayr Spice Indian Restaurant in the Old Memorial Church, Minishant in South Ayrshire.
 
And to celebrate the occasion Mafiz has arranged a special event that evening, when he will offer a three-course meal including a welcoming drink for £9.95. Subsequent drinks will be offered at prices reduced by 10% for the event and a cookery demonstration of his now well-known cuisine will also be a star attraction.

Papadoms and chutneys
 
Starter:
 
Mixed platter including Onion Bhaji, Aloo Palak, Fish Pakora, and Chicken Tikka.
 
Main Course:
 
Blue Elephant on Parade. Chicken or Lamb delicately marinated with authentic spices, glazed and barbecued in the clay oven, garnished with mustard seed, herbs and spices to a mouth-watering sauce. Served with basmati rice and naan bread.
 
Dessert:
 
Ice Cream with Gulab Jam.

Ayr Spice Indian Cuisine can be found in the fine old red sandstone Memorial church at the entrance to the picturesque village of Minishant, 5 miles south of Ayr on the A77. The church was erected by the thread magnate Sir Peter Coats of nearby Auchendrane, in loving memory of his wife Glorianna, who died in 1877.
