Turnberry Luxury Collection Resort offers champagne gourmet dining experience

Turnberry, the Luxury Collection Resort in Ayrshire on the west coast of Scotland, will celebrate the UK launch of one of the world’s rarest and finest champagnes by staging a gourmet dining experience for guests on Thursday 4 October 2012.

GH Mumm’s Blanc de Blancs is unveiled this year as the world-renowned champagne house celebrates the 130th Anniversary of their vineyards in Cramant, the Grand Cru village outside Reims. To mark the occasion, Turnberry’s award-winning food and beverage team has partnered with the historic brand to stage a one-off fine dining experience.

The dinner will feature a highly-crafted tasting menu, designed by Turnberry’s Executive Head Chef, Justin Galea. Each course will be paired with one of GH Mumm’s finest champagnes and introduced by GH Mumm’s brand ambassador.

The GH Mumm tasting dinner will take place on Thursday 4 October 2012 with a drinks and canapés reception at 7pm followed by the dining experience which commences at 7.45pm. A limited number of tickets are available at £99 per person. South Ayrshire Council and Elite Ayrshire Business Circle welcome Chinese delegation

South Ayrshire Council Leader Bill McIntosh and Provost Helen Moodie welcomed ten senior business executives from China to the County Buildings in Ayr, when they attended an Elite Ayrshire Business Circle meeting in the building.

Members of the Elite Ayrshire Business Circle had asked Councillor McIntosh to facilitate a presentation by South Ayrshire Council to tell the visitors about South Ayrshire. It was an ideal opportunity to highlight some important potential areas of investment opportunity – tourism, renewable energies, engineering, property and infrastructure.
Councillor McIntosh said: “South Ayrshire offers some fantastic opportunities, and we are delighted to welcome this high-level trade and investment delegation.
“In the current economic climate it is more important than ever that as a Council we do all that we can to facilitate new investment and long-term jobs to the area.
