Jockey Robert Winston in treble winning form at Ayr Racecourse

Robert Winston stole the honours at Scottish Sun Raceday at Ayr on Saturday when he bagged three winners.

The Yorkshire based jockey started the ball rolling when he piloted My Propeller (7/2) to win the feature race, the Scottish Sun/EBF Stallions Land O’Burns Fillies Stakes for owner Joey Barton and trainer Peter Chapple-Hyam.

The second leg of the treble came on 7/4 favourite Queen Catrine in the Sunsport/EBF Maiden Stakes, and Sand Boy (5/1) completed the treble in the Lidl Surprises Handicap. Both these horses are trained by Charles Hills.

Uplawmoor based trainer Jim Goldie was at Royal Ascot watching Hawkeyethenoo, but his wife Davina saddled Midnight Dynamo (16/1) to win the Scottish Sun Miss Scotland Handicap under jockey Andrew Elliott.

Other winners on an afternoon that saw a good crowd of 6,250 take in the action included Off Art (5/2 fav) in the Scottish Sun On Sunday Handicap and Maven (7/4 fav) in the Arnold Clark Fillies Handicap. Both were ridden by Graham Gibbons and trained by Tim Easterby.
