Fifteen members of the Lichtenfels Twinning Association in Germany visited Ayrshire this week in order to celebrate the 40th anniversary of their town’s twinning with Prestwick.
South Ayrshire Provost Helen Moonie hosted a coffee morning for the visitors, including Monica Faber, the president of Lichtenfels Town Twinning Association.
Over the past 40 years, strong friendships have been formed as a result of the twinning.
